Brought to you by the Asian American Alliance, CultureSHOCK: AAApocalypse is this year’s annual, charity performance showcase and fashion show, held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 6:30 pm. The show’s theme this year is AAApocalypse, signifying the destruction of old ideas and inaccurate perceptions to unveil a real and multi-dimensional Asian-American identity. CultureSHOCK will showcase the song, dance, spoken word, and comedy of an amazing mix of professional and student performers, including KT Tatara, Ruby Veridiano, Jen Kwok, Alfa, Blaxel, Onyx, Dhoom, and Aidge of Aesthetics Crew. This will be followed by a fashion show featuring designers Nicole Miller, Shin Choi, Mary Meyer, Shanghai Tang, Shoshanna, and more. In addition, international cuisine will be served to all guests.

Proceeds from this event will go to the Asian and Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS, a non-profit organization whose mission is to fight HIV/AIDS discrimination and provide HIV/AIDS related services. Tickets are $8 (dinner + show).
